Greetings!

I'd like to begin by giving my gratitude to the men and women of the armed forces who have sacrificed their lives so that we may continue to live free.  May God bless them, their families and friends.

I recently attended "Decoration Day" at Trinity Cemetery in my home town of Bono, AR - it is a memorial service to remember those who have passed in the recent year and honor those in service who have lost their lives in the protection of our freedom.   People come from all over to decorate the graves of their loved ones, and flags are placed on all service men/women's graves.  It was a beautiful day and I am appreciative of the hard work done by the trustees in preparation for the event.

I finished a "custom" customer quilt a couple of weeks ago.  I don't consider myself "artistic" in the sense that I can draw, paint, etc., so choosing designs for a custom quilt can be quite difficult (and time consuming) for me.  I tend to be a "visual" thinker so it takes quite a bit of research for me to get things headed in the right direction!  I often reach out to my quilting buddy Eddie Landreth!  Between us, we'll get through the "difficult" decisions!

Below are a few pics of the project - and luckily for me, the customer was very happy!!! I always worry it won't be what they had in mind even though their directions are "whatever you think"!

Have a great weekend!!

Leah
