Greetings!

I'd like to begin by giving my gratitude to the men and women of the armed forces who have sacrificed their lives so that we may continue to live free.  May God bless them, their families and friends.

I recently attended "Decoration Day" at Trinity Cemetery in my home town of Bono, AR - it is a memorial service to remember those who have passed in the recent year and honor those in service who have lost their lives in the protection of our freedom.   People come from all over to decorate the graves of their loved ones, and flags are placed on all service men/women's graves.  It was a beautiful day and I am appreciative of the hard work done by the trustees in preparation for the event.

I finished a "custom" customer quilt a couple of weeks ago.  I don't consider myself "artistic" in the sense that I can draw, paint, etc., so choosing designs for a custom quilt can be quite difficult (and time consuming) for me.  I tend to be a "visual" thinker so it takes quite a bit of research for me to get things headed in the right direction!  I often reach out to my quilting buddy Eddie Landreth!  Between us, we'll get through the "difficult" decisions!

Below are a few pics of the project - and luckily for me, the customer was very happy!!! I always worry it won't be what they had in mind even though their directions are "whatever you think"!

Have a great weekend!!

Afternoon!

Just finished another customer's quilt!  The pattern is Take 5 and the quilting design is Splat by Anne Bright!  My customer chose both the thread color and quilting design!  I think she made great choices!!

Now...if the photographer could catch up with the quilters, we'd be in tall cotton!!!

Until next time!

Morning!

Home from vacation and back at it!!!

Quilted a sweet little baby quilt this morning!  Quilt is a combination of piecing and fussy cutting a panel!  Really a cute little project!

Quilting design "Time Travel" reflects the theme of the quilt - Time!

Now...if I can just get the laundry done...

Until next time,  Happy Quilting!
