Afternoon!

I wanted to share two more customer quilts I finished this weekend and write a little about how I choose designs for the quilts!  After receiving the quilt top, I'll spend some time studying the quilt, letting it "speak" to me!  I'll then gather a few design ideas and send them to the customer for their thoughts, letting them know if they don't like any of the ones I've sent, there are more choices.  I want them to be happy with their decision!  In my opinion, "custom" quilting can mean more than doing different designs in different areas of the quilt.  Choosing an all over design that is unique to the quilt top and is complimentary, makes it "custom" in my book!  Of course, you know what they say about "opinions"!! :)  Until next time - Happy Quilting!!!

This top has many paisley's and different flowing floral's so I knew I
wanted something to compliment both design elements!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring as much as I am!  My difficulty with spring is staying in the house quilting when I could be outside absorbing some much needed Vitamin D!!

I have finished 3 more customer quilts and wanted to share them with you!  Now if I could just train the photographer (me) to take better pictures, we'd be on a roll!!

Happy Spring!

This is one of two fairly identical quilts with the exception
of the initials and the flannel backing

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful time at AWOL last weekend!  For those of you who might not know what AWOL means (as a quilting reference), it stands for Arkansas Women (and men too) on the Loose.  It is a 3 day quilting retreat where we can work on projects without interruption from the day to day demands at home!!

We had 35 quilters attend the event and hopefully, they all left feeling like they accomplished something!!!

I didn't get as much done on my project as I'd hoped - it doesn't help when you are a 1/2 yd short of background fabric for the setting triangles!! ARRGHH!  I'm sure something like that has never happened to any of you!!

Obviously I till have a lot of work left but I made a big dent in it!!!

Until next time - happy quilting!!
